BILL AGAINST INDECENT DRESSING

I HAD TO SIGH AFTER READING THE ARTICLE ON THE ABOVE IN THE SUNDAY EDITION OF THISDAY STYLE (THE KINDA STUFF THAT MAKES PEOPLE LIKE ME READ THE PAPERS) TITLED BYE BYE TO ALL THAT. THIS IS NOT BECAUSE I'M AN ADVOCATE OF LADIES AND INDEED GENTLEMEN(OR ROUGH MEN...AS THE CASE MAY BE) DRESSING INNAPROPRIATELY,ON THE CONTRARY, I HAVE ENOUGH MORAL AND RELIGIOUS VALUES INSTILLED IN ME BY FAMILY AND CHURCH TO THINK OTHERWISE, IT'S JUST THAT I THOUGHT OF THE PROS AND CONS, THEN CAME TO THE CONCLUSION THAT THIS MATTER WILL BE BETTER RESOLVED IN SOME OTHER WAYS.
BEFORE I GO INTO THOSE WAYS, I'D LIKE TO ASK SOME QUESTIONS:
1. HAS ANYBODY THOUGHT OF WHAT POWER THIS BILL, IF PASSED INTO LAW WILL GIVE OUR ALREADY TRIGGER AND MOLESTATION HAPPY LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENTS?
2.DO WE KNOW THAT THE WORD INDECENT IS A RELATIVE TERM AND INDEED CAN BE USED TO SUIT PERSONAL INTEREST AND PURPOSES?
3. LIKE IT WAS RAISED IN THE ARTICLE, WHAT HAPPENS TO ALL OUR RECREATION, SPORTS, CULTURAL AND OTHER RELATED ACTIVITIES? (AS THERE WAS NO PROVISION FOR SUCH IN THE BILL PRESENTED)
4.HAS IT EVR BEEN PUT TO CONSIDERATION THAT IN MOST CIVILIZED ENTITIES, EACH STSTE HAS ITS OWN GOVERNING LAWS (OR CODES)?
OK, ENOUGH OF THE QUESTIONS.
WOULDN'T IT BE MORE APPROPRIATE IF SUCH BILLS AS TO INCORPORATE CUMPULSORY ORIENTATION PROGRAMMES AT ALL LEVELS OF EDUCATION BE PURSUED?
LETS START TEACHING VALUES RIGHT FROM PRE-NURSERY, LESSONS LIKE HOW TO STAND IN A QUEUE AND WAIT FOR YOUR TURN, OBEYING TRAFFIC RULES, RESPECT FOR ELDERS, RELIGOUS AND CONSTITUTED AUTHORITIES, SHARING AND GIVING, SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY, GOOD SAMARITANSHIP(IF SUCH A WORD DOESN'T EXIST, I HEREBY CREATE IT!), AND SUCH LIFE MOULDING LESSONS.
ON THE BRIGHTER SIDE,MAYBE THIS WOULD BRING THE BIG BREAK FOR OUR LOCAL TAILORS WHOSE SPECIALITY IS THE YORUBA TRADITIONAL WEARS OF "IRO AND BUBA, AGBADA, DANSHIKI N CO.. AS THESE ARE PROBABLY THE ONLY STYLES THAT FIT ARE EXEMPTED FROM "INDECENCY" BY THE BILL.

DOES IT REALLY MATTER?

I read an article in the april edition of true love w/a magazine which sought ladies opinion on the ability of thier spouses/dates to speak good english. I'm currently wondering if it really does matter! I guess i'm a bit indifferent because i'm lucky that my pretty brown eyes does speak very good english, so i'd like to know your opinion. Lets know what you think and why. I'm waiting.....

COVER GIRL

This year, next year, sometime, whenever, i really cannot tell. All i know is that one day, i'm going to be on the cover of true love magazine. I'm a young make up artist, beader, sonwriter, singer, voice over model (and if i can call what my mom and i wear designs,i'll add a fahion designer too) . I know deep within my heart that one or all of these gifts of mine will help me achieve my aim.
Each time i open an edition of true love magazine, i read stories of successful women who rose from being unknown to being celebrated,i am greatly challenged to be the best in whatever i find myself doing, i want to be a testiomony of hard work, favour and above all, the grace of God.
So keep up the good work true love crew,God bless y'all.

There goes the first verse of one of the songs I composed years ago. Its a song of realisation. I got to a point in life where I realised that I don't need anybody's approval to be beautiful, cool and enjoy being me. I am a splitting image of God(don"t blame me, I didn't say it , he did!Gen 1:26), and I've got all I need to be the best.


You need to realize that your body is the house in which you live and believe me, its beautiful the way it is, whatever you do is to complement such beauty.

So dearest you, don't let that man, woman put you down and make you feel less important than you obviously are, above all lift your head high look closely into the mirror of your soul, make yourself beautiful from the inside(ask me how? good works of course!) and live your life.

Remember the saying" you are where(or what) you are because that is exactly what you want to be, if not, you would be in the process of changing it right now!!!

THE EYES AS IT IS SAID IS THE MIRROR OF THE SOUL HENCE, THE EMPHASIS ON EYE MAKE UP. BELOW IS A BLOW BY BLOW, DESCRIPTION OF AN EYE CATCHING EYE MAKEUP. ENJOY!!!



Apply a concealer under your eyes to cover any dark circles. Sakib suggests that you use a darker shade than the typical ivory tones, for a more natural look.


Apply liquid base to the lids - this helps keep the color on your lids longer and also adds a glow.
(This is when you would also apply base to the rest of your face and neck, preferably using a sponge applicator for an even finish)


Apply a liquid eyeliner, a thin line is sufficient. Just go with the natural shape of your eye.
Wet a sponge shadow applicator and cover the entire lid with it. This technique makes it easier for the powder eye shadow to stick to your eye.


Now apply the powder eye shadow to to the entire lid
Use a darker shade of the same color shadow on the corners of the eyes. This makes the eyes look bigger.


Now reapply the eyeliner and smudge the ends for a smoky look
Take a blending brush and blend the colors for a softer look


You can apply a darker shade on the crease of the eye to add more drama and color to your eyes.
Finally, don't forget to finish up with an even coat of mascara on both upper and lowerlids.
